Surgery to lower the hair (reduction of the forehead)

The hairline is an identifying feature for the genre, and accentuated by age. The reduction / contouring of the forehead, also called diminution of the hairline is an important procedure of facial feminization surgery.

The female hair line is variable in position. Ideally, a hairline of 5 to 6.5 cm above the eyebrows and generally starting at the point where the scalp is tilted from a more horizontal position to a more vertical position.

Refocus of the forehead

Fronts are one of the most apparent gender markers. The contour of the forehead (also known as the contour of the forehead) is very powerful and can transform a prominent male forehead so that it falls within the average female range. The refocusing of the forehead is one of the central procedures of facial feminization surgery.

Refocusing the forehead is a procedure that involves shaving the eyebrows and surgically altering the bone.

The outer segments of the protuberance on which the eyebrows sit are solid bones and can simply be archived downward.

The protrusion section between the eyebrows sits on an area called the frontal sinus. Because the frontal sinus is hollow, it is more difficult to remove the protuberance there. It involves removing this bone plate, reshaping it, and replacing it in place with small titanium screws to hold the bone in place while it heals.
